Saran District Administration Plans Playgrounds in All Panchayats and 10,000 New Houses | Patna News – Times of India


Chhapra: The Saran district administration has devised a plan to develop playgrounds in all 318 panchayats through the MGNREGA scheme. Saran district public relations officer (DPRO) Ravindra Kumar said the administration has already identified land for playgrounds in 186 panchayats. According to him, technical and administrative approvals have been granted for 125 of these grounds. Saran district magistrate Aman Samir has asked the officials concerned to secure the necessary approvals for the remaining panchayats by November 21, Kumar said. In addition, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), a target has been set to construct 10,000 new houses within 100 days. The first installment payments have been made to 9,000 beneficiaries and the second installment has been provided to 2,000 beneficiaries. BDOs and housing observers have been asked to monitor the progress of this scheme daily to ensure timely completion. The DM also asked the officials to ensure the construction of soak pits near water hand pumps and the cleaning of small water bodies. DDC Yatindra Pal and DRDA director Abdul Qayum Anari were present at the meeting.
