Buxar: The Buxar district administration on Thursday seized nine sand-laden trucks and imposed a fine of Rs 11.75 lakh on several vehicle owners involved in illegal mining. This seizure were made after Buxar DM Anshul Aggrawal and SP Shubham Arya, along with mining and transport department officials, conducted raids at several places like Dumraon, Navanagar, Jaso-Nadaon Road, toll plaza and Veer Kunwar Singh Bridge check-post on Wednesday midnight. Tthe DM said Rs 5 Lakh was also collected as fine from 95 vehicles by the transport department.
