Pune: Seven of the 1,29,131 candidates who appeared for the common entrance test (CET) for admission to the first year of full-time postgraduate MBA/MMS courses for 2025-26 secured a 100th percentile. The results were declared by the state CET Cell on Wednesday. This year, 28 marks were awarded to students who answered erroneous questions in the exam. The assessments were conducted online across six slots from April 1 to 3. The 150-minute test consisted of multiple-choice objective-type questions with no negative marking. After the test, candidates raised objections to 101 questions. The highest number of objections was raised in the logical reasoning section.Of these, the CET Cell acknowledged errors in 28 after their expert committee analysed the objections and announced that students who attempted these questions would be awarded one mark each. Of the 28 wrong questions, half were from logical reasoning, followed by seven from verbal ability, four from quantitative aptitude, and three from logical reasoning.“We have made the results of students available through their login ID. The schedule of admission will be soon released on the official website. Students should keep checking the website,” an official from the state CET Cell said.Eknath Khedkar, director, Dr D Y Patil School of Management and vice-president of Ajeenkya D Y Patil University, said, “The admissions regulatory authority conducts a transparent process. But the concern is that it should start as early as possible now that the results are announced. As per the Supreme Court guidelines, all admission processes to technical education must be completed before Aug 15. But since Covid-19, there have been huge delays that affect the commencement of the academic session. This in turn leads to academic loss for students.”
