7 officials raided, Rs 18cr assets found | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: In a pre-dawn operation Friday, Lokayukta sleuths swooped down on seven govt officials in Bengaluru and elsewhere in the state after booking cases of disproportionate assets against them. Assets worth over Rs 18 crore were found during the raids. The extent of disproportionate assets among them is yet to be ascertained.
Among the raided officials, Madhav Rao, assistant executive engineer, engineering division, BBMP (Hebbal), was found having assets worth Rs 8.6 crore, including sites, houses and lands.
Among other raided officials were TK Ramesh, deputy secretary, zilla panchayat, Bengaluru Rural (Rs 2.2-crore assets); Sachin Basavant Manded, FDA, sub-registrar office, Belagavi (Rs 2.5 crore).
