6 of family die in accident involving car, 2 trucks in Odisha | Bhubaneswar News
KEONJHAR: Six of a family died in a road accident on National Highway 520 near Rimuli, under Champua police station on Wednesday night.
Police said the car was heading towards Barbil when the driver abruptly lost control and collided with an iron-loaded truck. Following the collision, the truck fled the spot. Another speeding truck, which was approaching from behind, crashed into the car.
Police said Heralal Palei (58) and his family members were returning from Taramakanta under Banspal block in Keonjhar district to their native place in Barbil, also in Keonjhar district, after attending a marriage party. All of them died on the spot. Among the victims were four women and two men, including the driver of the car.
