56 impersonators held in 4 days as TRE 3.0 concludes

Patna: Altogether 56 impersonators were arrested for allegedly appearing in the third phase of the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE 3.0) on behalf of actual candidates, as the four-day exam conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) concluded on Monday. On the last day, two cases of impersonation were reported, including one from Patna.
According to officials, the TRE 3.0 was conducted peacefully without any malpractices amid tight security at all 288 examination centres across 27 districts of Bihar, with the attendance rate being nearly 94%.One impersonator was caught at the exam centre at Sir Ganesh Dutt Pataliputra High School in Kadamkuan, Patna, on Monday, while another was apprehended in Begusarai.
“A total of 56 candidates were caught during the four days of TRE 3.0. Appropriate action is being taken by registering an FIR against all these candidates under relevant sections of the Bihar Conduct of Examinations Act, 1981, and the Indian Justice Code. Apart from this, the Commission is permanently debarring these candidates from all upcoming examinations and is informing all other public service commissions in the country,” said an official.
The exams were conducted in two shifts – from 9am to 11.30am and from 12 noon to 2.30pm. Exams for govt teachers of classes 11 and 12 were held in the morning, while in the afternoon shift, teachers of classes 6 to 10 appeared for computer, music and art subject exams.
Many candidates found the question papers easy to moderate. Sunil Kumar, a candidate who appeared for the mathematics exam for senior secondary, said, “The paper was not difficult but it took a long time to solve the questions. I have come from Uttar Pradesh to take the exam.”
Abhishek Kumar, who appeared for computer science, found the questions to be quite easy and only from the syllabus.
