Chhapra: Acting on a tip-of, Amnour police in Saran on Thursday arrested five miscreants, foiling a crime bid as well as their attempt to sell a robbed tractor. The tractor was robbed after stabbing its driver near Dumduma pond on May 16. Amnour police had formed a team and first arrested two miscreants with a country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a knife. On the basis of the statement by one of the arrested person, Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari, alias Chunnu, the police recovered the stolen tractor and arrested three more miscreants. Amnour police have registered a case under suitable sections of the BNS, and are conducting further raids to arrest the other miscreants involved in the crime. Apart from Tiwari, other accused have been identified as Pintu Kumar, Vishal Kumar Singh, Nitish Kumar, alias Nikhil, and Daroga Ray, all residents of Marhaura in Saran.
