Rourkela: The Sundargarh police on Sunday detained a woman for questioning in connection with the murder of a four-year-old girl, whose body was found from a nullah in a farmland the day before.
The victim, Dipali Munda, went missing on Jan 16, following which, her father, Raju Munda of Purunapani Jada village, filed a police complaint. On Jan 17, police found her body in the village. “We have registered a murder case and we are investigating the matter further,” K C Behera, sub-inspector at Gurundia police station, said.
The accused was identified as Chari Munda (35) who lives close to Raju’s house.
