Patna: Four undertrial prisoners of Beur Central Jail here were shifted to Buxar jail on Friday, after a criminal lodged in the prison demanded extortion from a city businessman recently. The Beur jail administration said that Santosh Kumar, alias Santosh Gope, and three of his associates were shifted as evidence was found against them in the case.
Extortion of Rs 2 lakh was demanded from a mobile showroom owner at Punaichak vegetable market in the name of Santosh.A case was registered in Shastri Nagar police station in this regard.
