Rourkela: Kutra police in Sundargarh district detained four persons on Monday in connection with the murder of a Rourkela-based businessman. The blood-stained body of the missing businessman, Binod Kumar Daruka (64), was found in a roadside bush at Gomadih three days ago.
Binod’s brother, Pawan Kumar Daruka (64), had lodged a complaint at Raghunathpalli police station in Rourkela about his brother going missing on Saturday morning.
Binod’s SUV was recovered from the state highway on Sunday night under Rajgangpur police limits, and police detained three persons for questioning. A man, who was driving Binod’s SUV on Saturday night, was nabbed by Kutra police on Monday.
The half-charred body of a woman recovered five days ago under Chandiposh police limits was the domestic help of the murdered businessman. Police are probing if there is any link between the murders of Binod and his domestic help.
