PATNA: Five people, including four members of a family, were killed and seven others injured when their SUV crashed into a truck in Bihar‘s Kishanganj district early Sunday. Three children were among the deceased, reports Kshitiz.
Those in the SUV were headed to Bagdogra airport near Bengal’s Siliguri, around 100km from the crash spot, police said. The injured included five children.”Eyewitnesses reported the SUV was moving at a speed of about 100kmph,” Kishanganj SP Sagar Kumar said.
Md Jawaid, Congress’s Kishanganj MP who visited the site, claimed the accident occurred as the truck was moving on the wrong flank of the highway and because of poor quality of the road. MP Jawaid demanded an inquiry.
