30 detained for procession sans cop permission | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: The Wadala police on Sunday detained around 25 to 30 people for allegedly trying to carry out a procession for Ram Navami without police permission. A local person submitted an application seeking permission for the procession, however, police source said that the festival was on April 6, and hence they were asked to take the procession on that day. However, they submitted an application for April 20. Police denied the permission. As people began to gather police reached the spot and told the crowd that they did not have permission for the procession. tnn
