3 members of a marriageparty die as truck hits SUV | Prayagraj News

Prayagraj: Three members of a marriage party, including two brothers, were killed, and five others sustained injuries when an SUV carrying them collided head-on with a speeding truck near Sangav Road on the Prayagraj-Kanpur highway in Fatehpur district on Friday.The deceased, identified as Rajendra (50), his elder brother Bhoora (55), and Gudun Bade (55), were residents of Mamreshpur (Kalyanpur). The injured persons, including Udayraj (38), Milku (35), Gopi Chandra (10), Puttan (40), and Munesh Patel (driver, 40), residents of Kalyanpur, were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The incident, according to police, took place around 3 am when about seven people of a marriage party, along with the driver, were on their way to Kanpur from Prayagraj while the truck was moving in the wrong direction. After the collision, the driver of the truck managed to escape from the scene. Following the incident, the traffic police authorities brought a crane to clear the route.
