3 injured in explosion at warehouse | Bhubaneswar News

Kendrapada: At least three persons were injured due to an explosion in a warehouse that stored books at Janatakothi village in Jagatsinghpur district in the early hours of Sunday. The injured were sleeping at a nearby electricity office when the incident happened. The injured were first admitted to the community health centre at Balikuda and later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their condition worsened.
“Books and stationary items worth Rs 50 lakh were reduced to ashes,” said Ashis Sahoo, owner of the warehouse. “Preliminary investigation indicated that a short-circuit sparked the fire around 2.30 am, gutting the warehouse,” said Susant Kumar Sahoo, IIC of Balikuda police station.TNN
