3 cybercriminals held for duping man of ₹45L | Patna News – Times of India

Chhapra: Three cybercriminals have been arrested in connection with fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 45.86 lakh from the bank account of one Vikas Kumar, a resident of Nehru Tola in Mashrakh police station, in Saran district.
Saran DSP-cum-in charge of the cyber police station, Aman Kumar, on Monday said that the police arrested the three persons on December 21, but they were yet to recover the amount from them. He said the arrested criminals were identified as Vikas Sharma of New Defence Colony and Subhash Pal of Pur Parsi under Murad Nagar police station in Ghaziabad, and Sunita Devi, wife of Subhash Pal.
According to the cyber police, the victim had lodged a complaint in the cyber police station on November 3, alleging that he received a fraud call on his cellphone. The caller disclosed himself as crime branch officer.
