29 toppers to be feted at PPU convocation today | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Twenty-nine toppers will be honoured with gold medals and degrees at the fourth convocation of Patliputra University (PPU), which will take place on Monday at the S K Memorial Hall here. Governor-cum-chancellor of state universities, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, will preside over the event as the chief guest.
“Out of the 29 toppers, 18 are girl students. These toppers, from the 2022–24 academic session, have excelled in postgraduate (PG) courses across arts, science and commerce disciplines. While 26 toppers are from regular PG courses, three are from vocational programmes like MCA, MBA and MSc in biotechnology. Three research scholars from the history department, recently awarded PhD degrees, will also be felicitated at the event,” PPU registrar N K Jha said.
The convocation will be a major milestone for the university, bringing together faculty members, students and distinguished guests. Arlekar is expected to address the gathering, sharing his views on the importance of education and the role of universities in shaping the future of the youth.
According to university sources, students receiving honours will follow a specific dress code for the ceremony. Male students are required to wear white pyjama and kurta while female students will don white salwar and lemon-coloured kurtis.
