22-yr-old man shot dead in Begisarai – Times of India

Begusarai: A 22-year-old youth with criminals antecedents was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne criminals in Bajalpura village under Teghra police station in the district on Friday.
Begusarai superintendent of police (SP) Manish on Friday said victim Gopal Kumar, alias Golu, was on his way back home at Bajalpura village on his bike from the local market when three bike-borne criminals coming from the opposite direction shot him.
“A police team soon arrived at the spot, and with help of the local people, took Gopal to Teghra subdivisional hospital, from where the doctors sent him to the local sadar hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. A team, headed by Teghra subdivisional police officer Ravindra Mohan Prasad is investigating the case,” he said.
The victim’s family has accused four residents of the village of his murder.
Police said that Golu was accused of the murder of a home guard, Ashok Yadav, of the same village in October 2021. He was arrested in the case and had been lodged in jail till about a year ago.
