Mumbai: The Wadala police on Tuesday arrested a 22-year-old labourer for allegedly kidnapping a six-year-old boy, sexually assaulting him, and threatening to kill him if he told anyone about the incident.
The accused, originally from Bihar, worked as a labourer along with the victim’s father. On Tuesday afternoon, he took the boy to bushes near the railway tracks in the Wadala area and sexually assaulted him. When the boy cried, the accused allegedly slapped him a couple of times and threatened to kill him.
Soon after the boy’s family approached the police, a police team located the accused and nabbed him. He was booked under the BNS, and sections of the Pocso were also invoked against him.
