2 youths rescued within few hours of kidnapping, six arrested | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: The police arrested six persons within a few hours of kidnapping of two youths in Kankarbagh area in the city on Tuesday evening. Two SUVs used in the abduction were also seized, said police.
Sadar ASP, Sweety Sehrawat, said, “Around 6pm on Tuesday, two youths were kidnapped in a SUV from Gate Number 4 of Medanta Hospital under Kankarbagh police station area.When locals saw the boys screaming, they informed the local police station about the incident. Acting on this, a rapid response team was formed, and the police alerted nearby stations about the SUV and began chasing it.”
The ASP said the police intercepted the kidnappers, who were fleeing with the two boys in the car, near Chhoti Pahari, and rescued the two boys safely. “The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 8 lakh from the victims’ families using the boys’ cellphones, following which a written complaint was filed by them at Kankarbagh police station. The arrested criminals are Kumar Shubham, Kumar Saurabh, Harsh, Vidya Kumar, Sameer Kumar, and Rohan Kumar,” added the ASP.
