Berhampur: Two sisters trapped inside a lift in a four-storied market complex building at Giri Road here for about two hours were rescued by fire services personnel Monday. The sisters had gone to the top floor using the stairs and got stuck while returning. They were rescued after downing and opening the lift by using the master key of the operator and spreader instruments of the fire personnel. “We felt we will fall unconscious inside the lift,” said Soudamini Meher, 46, of Braja Nagar. The sisters called their family members over phone when they got stuck in the lift and they in turn called the fire services personnel. The building owner was not available for comment.
