Balasore: Two youths died in a road accident near Balighata on the Aradi-Bhadrak State Highway-35 under Dhusuri police station limits in Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the two youths were on a bike when they collided with a tractor near Dohara Balighat. The impact of the collision was so severe that one of the youths died on the spot. The other succumbed to his injuries while he was being taken to hospital by locals.
Sources said the truck driver fled the spot.
The victims were identified as Chandan Jena (20) of Telasadumuka village under Peerhat police station limits in Bhadrak and Shiba Jena (22) of Bajarapat village under Mangalpur police station limits in Jajpur district.
Upon receiving information about the accident, police officials reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The bodies were seized and sent for postmortem examination.
