2 held in Bhojpur tutor murder case | Patna News – Times of India

Ara: The Bhojpur police on Friday arrested two key suspects in the murder of Vijay Shankar Singh, a private tutor. “Singh was murdered at his village Udaybhanupur under the Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district on Dec 22. An FIR against 10 named accused people was lodged by the elder brother of the deceased, Ashok Kumar Singh, at the Krishnagarh police station under the relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act,” Sadar SDPO-2 Ranjit Kumar Singh said.
The SDPO added, “Based on some clues and leads from our investigation, the Bhojpur police arrested two accused in the case – Balwant Singh and Chandan Kumar Singh. Both were arrested near the Kulhariya toll plaza. The interrogation of both arrested accused is on and we expect to arrest other named suspects as our investigation progresses.”
It was revealed that the origin of the conflict between Vijay and the accused started in Dec 2021 during a dance programme at the village. “Vijay and Balwant Singh had an altercation, and Vijay was shot at five times on Dec 27, 2021, by unknown assailants, though he survived the attack,” said the SDPO. “Chandan Kumar Singh, one of the arrested accused, had arrived at Vijay’s house on Dec 22, even taking selfies with the tutor. He ate ‘aloo paratha’ with other accused persons before Balwant and the others arrived and allegedly pumped 12 bullets into Vijay’s body,” the SDPO added.
