Bhubaneswar: Two empty stationary buses were destroyed in a fire at Ramachandrapur in Jatni area on the outskirts of the city on Sunday. The commissionerate police launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident, while locals claimed the fire originated from a nearby garbage pile.
“The fire quickly spread to the two buses parked in close proximity to the garbage dump. Both vehicles belonged to a private travel agency. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and managed to douse the flames after an hour-long operation. However, by then, the buses suffered extensive damage,” a police officer said.TNN
