2 arrested in Gopalganj for Death of cop’s son | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: The Patna police arrested two youths from Phulwaria village in Gopalganj district on Sunday in connection with the death of a police officer’s son, Aryan Raj (18), who was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his friend’s flat in A G Colony, Patna.
The accused have been identified as Piyush Raj and his brother Vikash Kumar alias Ayush Raj, sons of Sudish Kumar Yadav, a native of Gopalganj.They were staying in the flat of Lal Mohan Singh on rent at A G Colony, under the Shastri Nagar police station area. Ayush and his brother organized a party and invited friends, including Aryan, on June 7, as his parents had gone to their native village.
The deceased’s body was found lying on the floor of the locked flat on Saturday when the police team broke open the lock and entered the room. Based on the statement of Aryan’s father, Shyam Ranjan Singh, an assistant sub-inspector, the police registered an FIR against Ayush, Piyush, a girl, and two unidentified youths.
Secretariat DSP II, Saket Kumar, said the youths had made a video in which Aryan had gone into another room in the middle of the party and locked the door from the inside. “In the video, he made a noose and hung himself from the ceiling fan while his friends tried to break open the door. After the incident, they all left the flat by locking the main gate from the outside. The youths were arrested for not informing the police about the incident,” he said.
Kumar added the police were trying to verify the authenticity of the video. “The actual reason behind the alleged suicide is not clear yet. The post-mortem report is still awaited,” the DSP added.
The girl named in the FIR was Aryan’s friend, who also attended the party. When the police tried to contact her, she was in Delhi and told the police that it was one-sided love. police have been conducting raids to nab the other accused, he said.
