Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s chief electoral officer (CEO) on Monday announced the final publication of the photo electoral roll for special summary revision 2025, with a net addition of 210,904 voters, bringing the total electorate to 34,072,744. Male voters constitute 50.5% (17,205,150) of the electorate, while females account for 49.49% (16,864,160), with 3,434 registered transgender voters.
Youth participation saw a remarkable uptick, with 599,555 voters aged 18-19 years now registered, representing 1.76% of the electorate. The gender ratio also improved from 976 to 980, indicating enhanced women’s participation in the electoral process.
“The electoral roll demonstrates Odisha’s commitment to inclusive democracy, with 522,364 registered voters with disabilities (1.53%) and 338,516 senior citizens aged 85 and above (0.99%),” read a statement issued by the CEO.TNN
