Rourkela: A 13-year-old boy drowned while bathing in a village pond in Sundargarh district on Monday, police said. The deceased, Rajesh Sahu, was the elder of two sons of a clay pot merchant who had relocated from Rajgangpur to Pankadih village under Gurundia policelimits in Bonai sub-division.Local residents found the boy’s body in the pond and immediately alerted Gurundia police. The body has been transferred to the local morgue, where a post-mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday.“We have registered an unnatural death case,” said Rameshwar Singh, IIC, Gurundia police station.The victim’s family, originally from Rajgangpur, had been residing in Pankadih village where his father runs a clay pot business. Rajesh is survived by his parents and a younger brother.
