Buxar: A class VII student, Omprakash Rai (12), of a govt school in Buxar, was seriously injured after he was hit by an e-rickshaw at Buxar while he was taking part in students’ rally to observe Nasha Mukti Diwas on Tuesday.
The seriously injured student was admitted to the Sadar Hospital, Buxar.
The Buxar district administration had organised an awareness rally to observe Nasha Mukti Diwas in the town, in which hundreds of students from govt schools of the town area participated.
The rally started from Quila Ground. The incident occurred when the rally was passing through PP Road.
Acharya Narendra Dev school’s principal, Umesh Prasad Thakur, said Om Prakash, son of Pradeep Kumar Rai and resident of Gajadhar Ganj, received head injuries when he was hit by an e-rickshaw coming from behind on the PP Road. He was admitted to the sadar hospital, from where he was referred to an advanced medical facility, said the principal.
