10 transgenders arrested for obscene acts in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), along with the local police and the Special Operations Team (SOT) of L B Nagar, conducted a raid at a residence in P & T Colony in Saroornagar early Sunday morning.
During the raid, 10 transgenders were arrested for allegedly causing public nuisance and indulging in obscene acts.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 42, all lived in the same house. Eight of those arrested are from West Bengal, while one is from Nalgonda. During the raid, the authorities seized 12 mobile phones. A case has been registered.
Last year, 31 women and four transgender persons were arrested by the anti-human trafficking unit, SHE Teams and the local police near the KPHB metro station in Kukatpally for indulging in obscene acts.
