Balasore: A 21-year-old man was killed and three others were seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles near Jaranibas on the Dhamnagar-Dobhal main road in Bhadrak district on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Shubhaprakash Sethi, who was a resident of Muhanpada village in the district.
According to sources, the accident took place while the victims were returning home after witnessing the Vijayadashami Nagar Parikrama (procession) in Dhamnagar. A motorcycle coming from the opposite direction collided with their bike, resulting in a fatal crash.
Sethi died on the spot, the three others were initially taken to a nearby healthcare facility and later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Dhamnagar police reached the scene, seized the body for a post-mortem and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
